Delegates to the Scott County Republican Convention
Caucus participants are encouraged to run for the position of Delegate to the County Convention to represent their precinct to vote on the County plank and other business. Alternates are on call should an elected delegate not be able to attend. Votes for delegates and alternates are taken separately to allow those who may not win a delegate position to become an alternate. There is a $20 fee for both delegates and alternate delegates payable at the time of the caucus—cash or check please.
Junior delegates attend to learn the caucus-to-convention process. A junior delegate is a person whose 18th birthday falls after the upcoming election, November 3rd, 2026. There is no limit to the number of Junior Delegates from each precinct.
The County Convention will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Regional Innovation Center located at 2205 South First Street, Eldridge. Check-in begins at 12:00 noon and the convention starts at 1:00 PM
